Ministry of Public Works opens Road 85 in Jabir Al-Ahmad Suburb

The Director General of the General Administration of Public Health Engineering, Engineer Anwar Al-Balushi, conducted a field visit the day before yesterday to inspect the implementation of infrastructure works in the As-Sarra area and monitor the progress of activities there. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works continued major maintenance operations in the Jabriya area. The Ministry stated that these works are part of its annual plan for maintaining roads within residential areas across various governorates of the country. It clarified that asphalt paving is being carried out on roads in the area included in the scheduled plan. The Ministry added that these works will continue in various areas until all planned activities are completed. Additionally, the Ministry of Public Works, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic, announced the opening of Road 85 in the Jaber Al-Ahmad area, Block 1, from the entrance of Street 107 to the roundabout of Abdul Ilah Al-Qanaei Street, effective early Sunday, September 13, 2026. On another note, the Ministry announced a partial closure of Streets 102 and 103 in the As-Sadiq area, starting today, Sunday, until Sunday, September 27, to carry out civil and asphalt maintenance works. The Ministry urged citizens and residents not to park vehicles on streets affected by the works and to avoid leaking water onto the work sites.
