Yemen Consolidates Gains Against the Houthis and Expands the Theater of Operations
The Yemeni Armed Forces have consolidated their gains and expanded their operations against the Houthis across multiple fronts, recording advances east of Al-Hazm in Al-Jawf Governorate, cutting Houthi supply lines toward the eastern fronts, and launching a wide-ranging operation south of Marib, alongside ongoing clashes in Taiz and the coastal areas, with reinforcements arriving from the Giants Brigades.
Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Dr. Rashad al-Alimi held the Houthis responsible for the escalation and its repercussions during a meeting with ambassadors of the countries sponsoring the political process.
In an interview with “Asharq Al-Awsat Podcast,” Sheikh Bakil Al-Sufi, head of the Tribal Affairs Department at the Yemeni Ministry of Interior, sent a message to the Houthis stating that “your time is running out, and you will be expelled from Yemen due to your actions.” In a separate interview, Major General Dr. Mukhtar Al-Ribashi Al-Haythami, Governor of Abyan, affirmed that the shared objective of military leaders is “the liberation of Sana’a and Yemen from Houthi militias and the termination of the Iranian project.”
In a separate development, the Coalition for Support of Legitimacy in Yemen announced that the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Jizan had been subjected to “outrageous” Houthi attacks.
In a statement, the Coalition pledged to respond to the attacks responsibly to safeguard Saudi sovereignty, national assets, and the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure.
The Yemeni government forces have expanded their military operations against the Houthi group on several fronts, achieving field advances east of Al-Hazm city in Al-Jawf Governorate and cutting Houthi supply lines toward the eastern fronts. This coincides with the launch of a broad operation south of Marib, intensified clashes in southern Taiz and the western coast, and the thwarting of a Houthi attack using boats in the Red Sea.
