Yemeni Army Launches Al-Jawf Battle: New Fronts Disrupt Houthi Fortifications

The Yemeni army has expanded its military operations against the Houthis across multiple fronts, marking a significant field shift as the group’s escalation entered its fifth day. Government forces have moved from containing Houthi attacks to pursuing them and recapturing new positions.
The most notable developments have occurred in Al-Jawf Governorate, where government forces launched a wide-scale military operation to liberate the province. They succeeded in retaking the Al-Labanat camp and its surroundings, along with other sites east of Al-Hazm city, amid reports of collapses within Houthi ranks and the capture of prisoners.
Simultaneously, the armed forces opened a new front in Al-Bayda’ Governorate. During a military operation at the Al-Zahir front, they liberated the positions of Hayd Al-Khazan and Al-Falihaan, while continuing their advance toward the Nasaifa area, amid rapid disintegrations within the Houthi ranks.
These developments coincided with ongoing clashes in the western coastal region and Ta’izz, particularly in Al-Barah, Maqbanah, Saqam, and Al-Kadha, where the Houthis suffered dozens of casualties, according to military sources.
The Yemeni army and national resistance have achieved qualitative progress on the fronts in Ta’izz, Al-Bayda’, and Al-Jawf governorates, amid successive Houthi defeats and retreats. Meanwhile, Al-Jawf Governorate has witnessed tribal movements supporting government forces following their field advances.
The media center of the Yemeni armed forces announced that government forces achieved a field breakthrough at the Al-Bayda’ front (in central Yemen), successfully “liberating the Hayd Al-Khazan positions and Al-Falihaan sites, reaching the Nasaifa area and its first village, Dhi Amkhashab.” This move grants government forces geographical superiority, cutting off Houthi supply lines between the central and southern governorates.
This progress coincides with the imposition of control over all hills and plateaus overlooking the Al-Zahir district.
Al-Bayda’ Governorate’s media director, Arif Al-Amri, confirmed that the armed forces have tightened their grip on strategic heights overlooking the Al-Zahir district and are currently conducting clearance operations in the Nasaifa area, paving the way for an advance toward the “Dhi Na’am” region—a development that strengthens the position of government forces in the governorate.
