British Foreign Minister
The British Foreign Secretary’s remarks on imposing a set of trade restrictions on illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank represent a new and unprecedented trend, particularly as they coincide with similar stances adopted by approximately 12 European countries. We hope this will serve as a pressure tool against the occupation’s policies and halt its plans to fragment the West Bank, with the aim of preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state in the future. His comments also highlighted growing evidence of “war crimes” committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip and “ethnic cleansing” resulting from the terrorism of illegal settlers in parts of the West Bank, underscoring a significant development, especially given that these statements come from Britain, which was instrumental in creating the occupying entity in the heart of the Arab world. The occupation’s crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank are a stain on the conscience of the world.
