Saudi Arabia: The Houthis have opened a door that cannot be borne

Houthi attacks resulted in targeting oil facilities and injuring dozens of civilians. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia’s attacks that targeted civilian and economic assets in several cities of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry affirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom, its steadfast support alongside the Kingdom, and its backing of all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, preserve its security and stability, protect its interests, and shield its people and residents on its territory. It emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

For his part, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan affirmed that the Kingdom would not hesitate to defend itself against any attacks, stressing that it would employ all available means to protect its interests. Speaking on the Houthi escalation, bin Farhan said that the Houthis had opened a door they could not bear.

The Saudi Ministry of Energy stated that several facilities and installations in the energy sector in the southern region of the Kingdom had been targeted, resulting in varying degrees of injuries to citizens and residents, fires breaking out at several sites, and a temporary halt to some operational activities.
