Kuwait Explores New Investment Opportunities at AIM Congress 2026 in Dubai
Kuwait participated in the events of the 15th edition of the AIM Congress 2026, held in Dubai, under the chairmanship of Minister of Finance Dr. Yaqoob Al-Sayed Yousef Al-Rifai, with the participation of several Kuwaiti officials, alongside government representatives, investors, and financial institution leaders from various countries around the world.
The summit, held under the theme “Reshaping Prosperity: Unlocking New Investment Pathways Toward a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” examines the key transformations shaping the global economy and their implications for capital flows and investments, with a focus on strengthening partnerships between governments and the private sector.
The summit’s agenda covers foreign direct investment, global markets, and development financing, as well as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, support for startups, infrastructure, future cities, sustainability, and business environment development.
Opening addresses at the summit emphasized that geopolitical and technological shifts, along with changes in supply chains, are reshaping global trade and opening new avenues for investment, with growing importance placed on technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainability in supporting economic growth.
The summit provides a platform for bilateral meetings between government representatives, investors, financial institutions, and international companies, as well as ministerial sessions, dialogues, roundtables, and workshops, aimed at exploring cooperation opportunities and translating discussions into actionable partnerships and investment projects.
The Kuwaiti delegation, in addition to the Minister of Finance, includes Khalid Al-Zubaidi, Kuwait’s Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Saad Al-Rashidi, Director General of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance. The participation aims to enhance Kuwait’s presence at international investment forums and exchange expertise on emerging trends in the economy and investment.
