Al-Nadi Al-Bahri Team Wins Gold in the Heaviest Weight Category at the Fourth Open Arab Fishing Championship in Jordan

The Kuwaiti fishing team affiliated with the Maritime Heritage Committee at the Kuwait Sports Club secured first place in the heaviest catch category during its participation in the Fourth Open Arab Fishing Championship, organized by the Royal Jordanian Federation for Marine Sports in Aqaba from September 3 to 6.

The team, led by skipper Hamed Al-Sayer and comprising Saleh Abdullah Al-Kandari, Hussein Haydar Ashkanani, Fahd Faisal Ahmad, Firas Ali Al-Khishti, Ahmed Abdulrahim Rajab, Ghanem Hussein Al-Qallaf, and Saad Faisal Al-Kandari, confirmed the continuation of its annual achievements in this championship, securing top positions amid participation by a select group of professional fishermen from various Arab countries.

Skipper Al-Sayer noted that the championship, conducted in accordance with the rules and specifications of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), featured intense competition under suitable weather and sea conditions, with excellent organization by the Royal Jordanian Federation for Marine Sports and warm hospitality. He praised the support received by the team from the club’s board of directors, as well as the significant efforts made by the members of the Kuwaiti team, which resulted in an honorable outcome in the championship.
