Al-Ajiri: The Front begins tomorrow... with cool nights paving the way for autumn weather

The Al-Ajiri Scientific Center stated that the season of “Al-Jabhah,” the first of the autumn mansions and the second season of the star Suhayl, begins in Kuwait tomorrow, Sunday, September 6, and lasts for 13 days until September 18. The center clarified that this season is characterized by the initial sensation of cooler air during nighttime hours, with a gradual moderation in temperatures and an increase in nighttime duration, paving the way for the transition to autumn weather. It added that the “Al-Safari” season will arrive during the last third of September, coinciding with the onset of autumn, and will last for 26 days, representing a transitional phase between summer and winter. This period witnesses temperature fluctuations, with chances of wind activity stirring up dust and sandstorms, alongside increased humidity and the possibility of fog formation during the early morning hours, as well as heightened activity of migratory birds.

Astronomically, September features several phenomena, most notably the conjunction of the Moon with Mars tomorrow, Sunday, followed by its conjunction with Jupiter on September 9. The crescent moon of Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 will be born on September 11. On September 14, the Moon will conjunct with Venus, while Venus reaches its maximum brightness of the year 2026 on September 22, attaining an altitude of 32 degrees above the horizon at sunset. September 23 marks the autumnal equinox, when the sun’s rays are nearly perpendicular to the equator and day and night are approximately equal in length, officially announcing the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.
