Iranian Incursions in the Curriculum

Trump discussed the possibility of declaring an end to the war while maintaining economic pressure on Iran. The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces announced early yesterday that Kuwaiti air defenses repelled hostile missile and drone attacks following Iran’s reprehensible aggression. In this context, the Ministry of Education documented Iran’s attacks on Kuwait in the new curricula, through the “History” textbook for the tenth grade, which detailed on pages 56 and 57 the attacks the country experienced in 2026. The book stated that Kuwait was subjected to a reprehensible Iranian aggression and its regional militias using missiles and drones, targeting vital and government facilities and residential areas, including electricity generation and water desalination plants, Kuwait International Airport, the Social Security Affairs Institution building, and the Ministries Complex. It noted that these attacks constituted a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and security, necessitating heightened readiness of state institutions. Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. officials said Trump specifically discussed with his senior aides the possibility of declaring an end to the war with Iran, expressing support for the idea and believing that sustained economic pressure could ultimately compel Tehran to dismantle its nuclear program or lead to the collapse of the regime.
