Minister of Higher Education: Leveraging Digital Solutions for Verifying Academic Qualifications and Documents

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jarallah, emphasized the importance of the agreement signed by the ministry with the DataFlow Group on Thursday, aimed at developing operational mechanisms and leveraging digital solutions in the verification of qualifications and academic documents.

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following the signing of the agreement, which focuses on developing the system for verifying qualifications and academic documents and enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of services provided to beneficiaries, Minister Al-Jarallah stated that this initiative aligns with the ministry’s direction to improve the efficiency of procedures for verifying the authenticity of academic qualifications and expedite their processing by utilizing specialized expertise and solutions for verifying documents from their original sources.

He clarified that the agreement will enhance the accuracy and reliability of verification processes and their outcomes, thereby supporting the quality of decisions related to academic qualifications and keeping pace with the ministry’s trend toward developing its digital services and strengthening digital transformation in the higher education system.

He further noted the ministry’s intention to expand its partnerships with specialized international entities, which will contribute to broadening access to sources of certificates and the institutions issuing them across various countries worldwide, granting greater flexibility in dealing with the diversity of educational systems and academic institutions.

For his part, Deputy Minister Dr. Badr Al-Basiri told KUNA that the agreement will directly impact the efficiency of procedures and services provided to beneficiaries by shortening the cycle for processing academic certificate verification requests and developing tracking mechanisms, thereby contributing to improved service quality and facilitating procedures related to academic qualifications.

Al-Basiri pointed out that in the coming phase, the ministry will leverage the capabilities offered by the agreement to develop the work environment and enhance the efficiency of processing verification requests, supporting faster response times and strengthening the integration of procedures between relevant technical and administrative aspects.
