First Deputy Prime Minister Inspects Forensic Evidence

Yesterday, a decree-law concerning the Future Generations Fund was issued. It stipulates that borrowing from the Future Generations Fund is permitted to support the state’s general reserves, with the loan amount and accrued interest recorded as a receivable asset in the Future Generations Fund account. The loan shall have priority for repayment from state revenues in the event of a surplus in the general budget, following the approval of the state’s final accounts. Under no circumstances may the loan be written off or reduced except by law. Borrowing from the Future Generations Fund is far preferable to borrowing from foreign debt agencies, provided that repayment obligations are strictly observed and that debt is not written off except by law.
