Kuwait and Riyadh discuss prospects for joint digital cooperation on the sidelines of LEAP 2026

The Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Media and Culture, Omar Al-Omar, held a bilateral meeting with Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, Governor of the Saudi Digital Government Authority, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand the horizons of joint cooperation in the digital sector.

The meeting took place at the Malham Exhibition and Conference Center in Riyadh, coinciding with Minister Al-Omar’s participation in the opening events of the international technology conference “LEAP 2026.”

The meeting featured a review of the latest developments and projects in the telecommunications and information technology sectors, as well as an overview of the Saudi experience and the key milestones and achievements accomplished by the Digital Government Authority in the journey of technological transformation.

The meeting was attended by Najat Ibrahim, Director of the Central Agency for Information Technology (acting), during which the parties discussed ways to exchange technical expertise to support the digital government operations in both countries.
