General Directorate of Traffic

The General Directorate of Traffic announced yesterday the prohibition of truck traffic on all roads during specific time periods, effective from today, September 1, through August 31, 2027, for a full year.

The ban will apply in the morning from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, and in the afternoon from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, targeting peak hours to restrict truck movement.

We hope this measure will help alleviate traffic congestion, particularly with the start of the school year and the heavy traffic on main and secondary roads during commute hours.
