Zakat Al-Othman Brings Smiles to the Faces of 500 Needy Families

To reinforce the virtue of social solidarity and embody the authentic Kuwaiti spirit of “fazaa,” Al-Othman Zakat, affiliated with Al-Najah Charity Association, launched a comprehensive charity exhibition, successfully extending assistance and support to more than 500 self-respecting families. This initiative was carried out under the gracious patronage and strategic partnership with Landmark Group.

Emad Al-Mutawa, Director of Al-Othman Zakat, stated that the exhibition witnessed widespread attendance and interest during its tenure at the Al-Najah School headquarters in the Hawalli area. The event capped off continuous efforts that spanned three days, from August 23 to 27, resulting in the distribution of a comprehensive package of in-kind aid, including clothing, eyeglasses, shoes, school bags, and other essential supplies.

Al-Mutawa explained that this activity stems from the noble Prophetic principle: “The best of people are those most beneficial to others, and the most beloved deed to Allah is bringing joy to a Muslim.” He noted that Al-Najah Charity prioritizes localizing charitable giving and supporting self-respecting segments within Kuwait, such as orphans, the sick, and those with limited incomes, to preserve their dignity and achieve family stability.

Al-Mutawa praised the vital role played by Landmark Group in the success of this event, emphasizing that responsible societal response from private sector institutions constitutes the mainstay for sustaining charitable work and expanding its impact. He also called on commercial sectors and companies to follow the example of this inspiring initiative and organize similar humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the living burdens on eligible groups and bringing joy to their hearts.
