Al-Najah Charitable Organization Opens the Mohammed Al-Subaie Islamic Center in Benin

A delegation from Al-Najah Charity Association inaugurated the “Mohammed Yousef Al-Subaie Islamic Center” in the friendly Republic of Benin, in the presence of Ehab Al-Dabbous, Zakat Manager at Al-Fahaheel, and Abdullah Al-Ajmi, Projects Accountant at the association, amid great joy among local residents and center visitors.

Ehab Al-Dabbous, Zakat Manager at Al-Najah Charity in Al-Fahaheel, stated that the center covers an area of 700 square meters and benefits 5,000 people. He described this educational and humanitarian project as a landmark that consolidates the foundations of charitable and community work. The center includes a fully equipped two-story grand mosque, furnished with all necessary amenities such as carpets, ventilation systems, sound amplifiers, and ablution areas, in addition to dedicated housing for the imam.

The mosque’s role extends beyond facilitating prayers; it serves as a beacon of faith and education through Quran memorization circles and outreach lectures aimed at reinforcing the values of moderate, sincere Islam and spreading Islamic culture among the local population.

Al-Dabbous added that, in line with the mission of knowledge and empowerment, the center features a comprehensive educational school comprising six classrooms designated for primary school students. The school hosts hundreds of pupils who travel long distances from neighboring areas in pursuit of education, directly contributing to providing quality schooling for impoverished children and transforming them into active forces that will participate in the development of their communities in the future.

He further noted that the center’s facilities are completed by a water well that supplies fresh, clean water to the school’s students, mosque visitors, and local residents, making the project an integrated model of the developmental and humanitarian care provided by Kuwait to the peoples of the world in need.
