Lebanon: 4,350 killed and more than 12,000 injured in the Zionist war

The death toll from the Israeli war on Lebanon has risen to 4,350 killed and 12,310 wounded since March 2, according to the German News Agency (DPA). In a statement, the Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health announced that “the cumulative total of casualties from the aggression from March 2 to August 25 stands as follows: 4,350 martyrs and 12,310 wounded.”

In a related development, the Israeli Air Force struck the communal lands of Mansouri village in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military carried out an explosion operation in the town of Sarbineh in southern Lebanon, as announced by Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA).

Intermittent Israeli artillery fire sparked fires in the outskirts of Deir Mimas village in southern Lebanon. The Israeli Air Force had previously launched two strikes on Mansouri village, one on Tair Harfa village, and one on the Doha Kafr Rumman road in southern Lebanon. Israeli artillery also bombarded the southern towns of Ainata and Beit Leif. The Israeli military carried out explosions in the towns of Mansouri, Majdal Zoun, and Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon.

It is recalled that Israel launched a war on Lebanon on March 2 after Hezbollah fired rockets into northern Israel. Israeli forces occupied several towns in southern Lebanon. Israeli airstrikes continued to target wide areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon, following the initial announcement of a ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel on April 16, its extension on April 23 for three weeks, and a further extension on May 15 for 45 days.

A ceasefire was announced on June 20, after which the intensity of Israeli targeting of southern Lebanon decreased.
