Trump: Iran will completely collapse

While data from the free market yesterday showed the Iranian currency plummeting to a record low of more than two million rials per dollar, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran is collapsing, as his administration prepares to announce details of a new economic pressure campaign that Tehran has characterized as an acknowledgment of military defeat. His remarks came hours after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent pledged in an article in the Financial Times to launch the largest financial offensive ever against Tehran, warning that any country continuing to cooperate with the Islamic Republic would become a global pariah. Bessent also asserted on the X platform that the United States had succeeded in dismantling Iran’s military capabilities, destroying nearly 100% of its military factories, and burying its nuclear program.
