Al-Najah Charity: "A Door of Goodness Every Friday" Project Brought Joy to 87,000 People in the First Half of 2026
Dr. Rashid Al-Hamad, Deputy Chairman of the Board at Al-Najah Charity Association, affirmed that the “Bab Khair Every Friday” (Door of Goodness Every Friday) project represents one of the association’s flagship initiatives, through which it seeks to keep channels of charity open for donors and implement projects with direct and tangible impacts on beneficiaries’ lives. He noted that the project is executed in accordance with approved frameworks and regulations, with the approval of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Al-Hamad explained that the project’s results during the first half of 2026 reflect the strong response from donors, with a total of 87,294 beneficiaries reached and total funds collected for projects amounting to 287,446 Kuwaiti dinars, according to official project records.
He pointed out that humanitarian projects topped the list of areas benefiting from the initiative, serving 54,310 beneficiaries, while 22,870 beneficiaries benefited from development projects, 9,214 from health projects, and 900 from educational projects.
Al-Hamad highlighted that the project’s scope covered several countries and regions, with 80,904 beneficiaries in Yemen, 3,150 in Kuwait, 1,500 in Palestine, 950 in Egypt, 400 in Sudan, and 390 in Albania. He emphasized that the diversity of projects and beneficiaries reflects the comprehensive nature of Al-Najah Charity Association’s mission and its commitment to directing donations toward humanitarian priorities.
Al-Hamad stated that the “Bab Khair Every Friday” initiative is based on providing donors with a recurring opportunity to contribute to diverse projects that address real needs. He clarified that the association does not view donations merely as financial values, but rather as a means to create sustainable humanitarian and developmental impact.
He added: “At Al-Najah Charity Association, we strive to ensure that donors’ contributions reach projects that make a genuine difference in people’s lives, whether in education, relief, health, or development, while fully adhering to the official regulations governing charitable work.”
He stressed that the association continuously develops its projects and selects initiatives that achieve the highest possible impact relative to the donation, focusing on projects that address basic human needs and contribute to improving quality of life. He noted that donor trust represents a significant responsibility, which the association safeguards through commitment, transparency, and the proper allocation of donations.
Al-Hamad thanked donors and benefactors who contribute to the “Bab Khair Every Friday” project, affirming that every contribution, regardless of its size, can translate into a substantial impact when directed to the right place.
