250 Kuwaiti citizens pass cooperative regulatory employment exams

Yesterday, the Minister of State for Administrative Affairs announced that 250 male and female citizens passed the employment examinations for financial and administrative inspector positions in the Cooperation Sector, among the applicants and attendees of the tests held at the American University in Kuwait. She emphasized that the results reflect the Ministry’s commitment to selecting cooperative oversight personnel based on competence, merit, transparency, and equal opportunity. So far, this is positive rhetoric, demonstrating a strong emphasis on fairness, transparency, and seriousness in appointing officials for this vital sector. However, what is surprising is that 293 applicants failed to attend the examinations out of a total of 728 who applied for the two announced supervisory positions. This means that more than 40 percent did not show up for the tests—a significant percentage that warrants careful examination to understand the underlying reasons.
