Al-Khraj: Complaint of encroachment on state property in the south of the country has been addressed

In the context of ongoing supervisory efforts, the Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality clarified that the General Cleanliness and Road Obstructions Management Team at the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Municipality Branch addressed a complaint regarding encroachments referred to the department by the Office of the Minister of State for Municipal and Housing Affairs, to take the necessary actions.

In this regard, Saad Al-Kharinj, Acting Director of the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Municipality Branch, stated that after a field inspection by the supervisory team, represented by the Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Bahriyah Cleanliness Center, it was found that there were encroachments on state lands consisting of unauthorized structures, mobile chalets, and illegal grazing camps. Warning notices were affixed to these sites. However, since the specified deadline for their removal had expired and the owners failed to comply with the removal order, the Cleanliness Department, in coordination with the Violations Removal Section, proceeded to demolish the fixed encroachments on state lands. The General Cleanliness Department also removed the mobile chalets and transferred them to the municipality’s impoundment site. Work at the location is ongoing until all encroachments and anything that spoils the public appearance are completely removed.

Al-Kharinj emphasized that the General Cleanliness and Road Obstructions Management Team at the governorate municipality branch continues to deploy its field teams for inspection campaigns carried out by cleanliness inspectors around the clock. These efforts aim to combat encroachments, curb the phenomenon of violations on state lands, and enforce compliance with the General Cleanliness and Road Obstructions Law.
