Strategic understanding between the Kuwaiti and American armies

The Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan, and the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East and Central Asia, Michael Dumin, presided over the annual meeting of the Kuwait-U.S. Joint Military Commission (JMC), held at the U.S. Department of Defense headquarters, the Pentagon. The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces said in a statement yesterday that the meeting included a series of workshops for participating teams from both sides, during which joint cooperation in the fields of maintenance and training was reviewed. It added that a memorandum of understanding for strategic partnership with the Maryland National Guard was signed during the meeting. The statement noted that a high-level delegation of senior commanding officers of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces accompanied Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan.
