Speaking to KUNA, Acting Director of the Department, Derrar Al-Ali, said the country is affected by an extension of the monsoon low-pressure system, accompanied by a hot and relatively humid air mass. Winds will be from the northwest, light to moderate in speed, occasionally strengthening and stirring up dust, and will be variable in direction and light at times.
Al-Ali added that on Friday daytime, the weather will be hot, with winds from the northwest to variable directions, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 10 and 38 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 1 and 5 feet.
He noted that at night, the weather will be hot to warm, with relatively high humidity in coastal areas. Winds will be from the northwest, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 15 and 35 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 2 and 5 feet.
Regarding Saturday’s daytime weather, Al-Ali said it will be very hot, with relatively high humidity in coastal areas. Winds will be from the northwest to variable directions, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 35 kilometers per hour. Some high clouds will appear, and maximum temperatures are expected to range between 45 and 47 degrees Celsius. The sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 1 and 5 feet.
He pointed out that on Saturday night, the weather will be hot to warm, with relatively high humidity in coastal areas. Winds will be from the northwest to variable directions, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 32 kilometers per hour. Some scattered clouds will appear. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 2 and 4 feet.
