Al-Hawaila discusses with the Cooperative Societies Union the development of financial and administrative aspects

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, held discussions today, Thursday, with Mariam Al-Awadhi, President of the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies, on a number of financial, administrative, and regulatory matters pertaining to the Union and its cooperative societies.
Dr. Al-Huwail stated in a press statement following her visit to the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies, which was attended by the Acting General Manager of the Union, Faisal Al-Mutairi, and the Administrative Inspector, Faiz Al-Majlad, that she discussed the staffing structure and organizational framework of the cooperative societies, as well as employment contracts, and worked on resolving issues related to unratified contracts.
She added that she also addressed the issue of dual employment in multiple cooperative societies by implementing automated linking among all societies, thereby enhancing oversight and preventing duplication. She emphasized the importance of immediately localizing the position of Branch Supply Manager, supporting national cadres, and empowering them.
Dr. Al-Huwail stressed the need to continue developing the cooperative work system, strengthening governance and oversight, and addressing administrative and financial observations to ensure improved efficiency across various cooperative societies. She also highlighted her emphasis during the meeting on the importance of implementing a fingerprint attendance system for all employees to enhance workplace discipline and boost performance efficiency within the cooperative work system.
