Tenders approves Electricity Company's tender for the comprehensive maintenance of the Ministry building for 3.427 million dinars

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced yesterday the restoration of power to the Rumaythiya area following a blackout. Earlier, the ministry stated on its official page that three sub-feeders from the main Rumaythiya (B) substation had been taken out of service due to a technical fault. This resulted in a power outage affecting a limited portion of Rumaythiya, Plot 2. Emergency teams from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy are present at the site and are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, the Central Tenders Committee approved the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy’s request to award a contract for comprehensive maintenance works at the Public Works building in the South Al-Sarra area, with the winning bid amounting to 3.427 million dinars, in compliance with technical specifications. The Committee referred the ministry’s request to the Court of Audit to obtain its approval for contracting with the winning bidder, following the Court’s review and audit, to commence the works shortly.
The tender aims to carry out various maintenance works for mechanical, electrical, and civil works, as well as irrigation networks, financial management systems, and central control systems, to enhance the operational efficiency of the buildings and extend their service life. This is particularly important as the buildings house central administration, including the offices of the two ministers, most assistant deputy ministers’ offices, and a large number of employees, and are heavily visited by auditors daily, necessitating maintenance, upgrading, and development of the facilities.
