Saudi Arabia: Falcon "Malthouth al-Jeer Super White" sold for 1.3 million riyals

Fares Abdullah Al-Fares, the representative of the Canadian farm participating in the 2026 International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction, affirmed that the sale of a “Malthouth Al-Jeer Super White” falcon for 1.3 million riyals reflects its exceptional value and the rarity of its characteristics. He explained that producing a falcon of this caliber requires years of expertise and dedicated efforts to develop breeding lines.

Al-Fares clarified that the falcon, sold on the seventh night of the auction, was a strong candidate for achieving a high price given its specifications and level. He noted that their farm has participated in the auction since its inception, and the farm is well-known in the world of racing and auctions. He had anticipated that the falcon would reach this price point based on its attributes, and it indeed met expectations, becoming the second most expensive Malthouth Al-Jeer in the history of the auction.

He emphasized that producing falcons at a level comparable to this Malthouth requires many years of effort. The farm is one of the oldest falcon breeding farms in the world, with its origins dating back to the early 1980s. It has managed to maintain and enhance its production standards year after year. Furthermore, its bloodlines serve as the foundation for breeding lines at several farms around the world.

Al-Fares pointed out that the sold falcon was male, and its value could have been even higher had it been female, given the critical importance of exceptional females in breeding programs for preserving and developing bloodlines.

He added that the farm’s participation in the auction also included another falcon designated for racing, which was sold for 150,000 riyals. He confirmed that the deals achieved by the farm’s falcons reflect the high level of interest their production garners among falconers and enthusiasts in the field.

The International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction continues to record high-value transactions. Previously, it witnessed the sale of a falcon for 1.75 million riyals, a clear indicator of the trust the auction has earned among producers, falconers, and buyers from various countries worldwide. It provides a platform that brings together elite falcon breeding farms, allowing them to showcase their production in a reliable and competitive market.
