End of the 60-day deadline
With the expiration of the 60-day deadline for the memorandum of understanding with the United States, Iran has resumed its habit of making allegations and claims against countries in the region. This time, its accusations targeted Kuwait and Qatar. Tehran claimed that several of its citizens were being detained in Kuwait and that it knew nothing of their fate, whereas in reality, they were members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who attempted to enter the country with the aim of carrying out sabotage. As for Qatar, Tehran alleged that its two pilots detained in Doha were prisoners after their fighter jet was shot down on Qatari territory. The important question is: why did these military personnel go to both Kuwait and Qatar? And do these two countries not have the right to defend their sovereignty and cut off the hand that seeks to sabotage and destroy?
