Aman Team Inspects New Zealand's Experience in Emergency and Disaster Management

The team responsible for establishing the National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management at the national level (Aman) met with New Zealand’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), where it held discussions with Minister of Civil Defence and Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery Mark Mitchell and NEMA Chief Executive Dave Gown to learn about New Zealand’s experience in emergency and disaster management.
In a press statement yesterday, the Aman team said that during its visit to New Zealand, the delegation familiarized itself with national monitoring and coordination mechanisms, early warning systems, risk assessment methodologies, disaster scenario planning, and measures to enhance readiness and response levels.
It added that both sides discussed ways to exchange expertise and leverage New Zealand’s experience to support efforts to establish an integrated national system for emergency, crisis, and disaster management in the State of Kuwait.
The Aman team, which operates under the Council of Ministers, is tasked with establishing a comprehensive national system for emergency and disaster management, unifying national efforts, and building an integrated framework for risk management to enhance readiness and response to crises.
