Kushner to Netanyahu: Do not place obstacles in the way of the peace plan

Jared Kushner, the U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy and son-in-law, pressured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to move forward with the ceasefire plan for Gaza and “not to place obstacles” in its way, during a meeting that lasted more than four hours.

A source told CNN that Netanyahu, who had previously rejected the 15-point peace plan for Gaza earlier this month, considered making progress on it “difficult” given the elections scheduled for late October.
