Kuwait strongly condemns the escalation of settler attacks in the West Bank and calls for urgent international intervention

The State of Kuwait, through an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed its strong condemnation and rejection of the escalating violence by extremist settlers in the occupied West Bank, and the accompanying acts of systematic violence targeting innocent Palestinian civilians and their property.

The Ministry emphasized in its statement that these continuous attacks are merely an extension of the occupying authorities’ policies, which pursue a strategy of escalating violence against the brothers of the Palestinian people. It stressed that these practices constitute a blatant violation of international law norms and a clear defiance of relevant resolutions of international legitimacy.

The Ministry clarified that the continued criminal actions by extremist settlers reflect a clear policy of the occupation, which provides cover and protection for them through its military forces, enabling them to persist in these violations. The Ministry warned that this undermines any genuine prospects for achieving just and comprehensive peace in the region.

In this context, the Ministry issued a clear call to the international community, and to the Security Council in particular, to abandon silence and take urgent and immediate action to put an end to these flagrant crimes, protect the Palestinian people, and ensure that those responsible for these attacks are held accountable and do not escape punishment.

The Ministry concluded its statement by reiterating Kuwait’s principled and steadfast position in standing alongside the brotherly Palestinian people, supporting their legitimate rights, foremost among which is their inherent right to establish their independent and sovereign state on the June 4, 1967, lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
