Kuwaiti school in Uganda approved for global digital education program

The Islamic World Charity Organization announced on Saturday that it has achieved a new milestone in the development of its educational institutions, following the official accreditation of one of its schools in Uganda under a global program aimed at expanding the use of digital tools in the educational process.

Ibrahim Al-Badr, Deputy General Manager of Projects at the Islamic World Charity Organization, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the official accreditation of Al-Hayeb Primary School in Uganda under the “Canva for Education” program represents a new achievement in the organization’s journey to develop its educational institutions. It also reflects its commitment to enhancing digital transformation and elevating the quality of education.

Al-Badr explained that the program enables the school to benefit from a wide range of digital tools and resources, empowering teachers to create interactive educational content, design presentations, worksheets, and visual materials, while providing an environment that encourages students to be creative, participate actively, and engage in collaborative work.

He noted that Al-Hayeb Primary School, affiliated with the Al-Hayeb Social Care Center under the organization, was established in 2005. It currently enrolls approximately 271 students and employs around 50 teachers, staff, and workers. The school has a capacity of about 400 students and offers the government curriculum in English and the Islamic curriculum in Arabic.

In this regard, Al-Badr emphasized that “investing in digital education and innovation is one of the key pathways in the organization’s efforts to equip teachers and students with modern knowledge tools and develop their skills, thereby contributing to building generations better equipped for creativity and prepared to meet future demands.”
