Mohamed Salah arrives in Istanbul in preparation for joining Trabzonspor

Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday, paving the way for the completion of his contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor. The 34-year-old landed at Istanbul Airport aboard a private jet from the Greek island of Mykonos, where he had been spending his holiday.

A large crowd of Trabzonspor’s “Yellow-Blue” supporters welcomed the Egyptian player at the airport. Salah appeared wearing a Trabzonspor jersey, greeted the fans, and led the traditional three-part chant: “In the name of God, in the name of God, in the name of God,” amid an atmosphere of great joy.

After greeting the supporters, the Egyptian player departed the airport in a car driven by Artoğrul Doğan, president of Trabzonspor. The club is expected to sign a two-year contract with Salah following a medical examination at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital.

Salah is also expected to travel to the city of Trabzon in the evening alongside Doğan and members of the club’s board of directors. An open signing ceremony for the fans will be held tomorrow at Babadağ Park Stadium.
