Zelensky: We seek to force Russia into peace through long-range strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that his country is seeking to force Russia into peace during the autumn by continuing long-range attacks on targets within Russian territory, alongside tightening sanctions imposed on Moscow. Zelenskyy clarified in a speech delivered yesterday to diplomats participating in the 2026 Ukraine Ambassadors’ Conference, held in the capital Kyiv, that Ukraine continues to carry out long-range weapon attacks against targets inside Russia, while imposing various sanctions on Moscow. The Ukrainian president accused his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, of seeking to prolong the war, stating that Putin is preparing for a new mobilization and launching new attacks. “We see Russia’s true intentions, and we are working to unite our allies and exert pressure on the aggressor.”
