Palestine: We have documented over 11,000 Israeli attacks in the West Bank since 2023

Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faris Abu Ghaith Shahin announced on Monday that the ministry has documented more than 11,000 attacks carried out by the Israeli military and settlers in the occupied West Bank since 2023.

Speaking at a press conference at the ministry’s headquarters in Ramallah, in the central West Bank, Shahin stated that “the actions carried out by settlers in the West Bank are supported by the Israeli government.”

She added, “We have documented more than 11,000 attacks carried out by the Israeli military and settlers in the West Bank since 2023.”

The ministry also documented the expansion of 42 settlement outposts at the expense of agricultural land and grazing areas in the West Bank.

Furthermore, the ministry recorded 45 attacks carried out by settlers and Israeli forces targeting mosques in the West Bank since 2023, some of which involved setting fire to mosques.

Shahin emphasized that the attacks that recently took place in the town of Tell, west of Nablus, “are not isolated incidents, but part of a systematic campaign to displace Palestinians.”

She stressed that demolition operations and settler attacks “are destroying infrastructure, families, and livelihoods in the West Bank.”

She called on the international community to “take practical steps to halt Israeli violations and hold those responsible accountable.”
