"Human Excellence": 1,000 Wells and 1,000 Water Tanks to Enhance Water Security in the Most Neediest Countries

Dr. Khalil Al-Humaidi, President of the Human Excellence Association, confirmed that the association aims to drill 1,000 freshwater wells in Somalia, India, Nepal, and The Gambia, to provide sustainable water sources for residents of areas suffering from water scarcity and difficulty accessing potable water. Al-Humaidi stated that the association is simultaneously implementing the “1,000 Tanka Water Project” to deliver safe and healthy water to affected families in Gaza and Yemen, amid harsh humanitarian conditions and shortages of basic supplies, thereby helping to mitigate health risks and protect families from waterborne diseases. He clarified that the water projects align with the association’s strategy of implementing direct and sustainable humanitarian initiatives, whose benefits extend beyond meeting daily needs to improving health and living conditions, supporting the stability of communities, and serving schools and public facilities in targeted areas. Al-Humaidi noted that the association carries out its projects in coordination with its field partners, following mechanisms that ensure water reaches the most vulnerable groups, while monitoring implementation stages and verifying the achievement of set objectives. He reaffirmed the Human Excellence Association’s continued development of its relief and development programs, which enhance the presence of Kuwaiti humanitarian work, reinforce values of solidarity, and provide practical solutions that preserve human life and dignity.
