Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya launches the Wael Al-Seddah and the late Mutlaq Al-Qarawi Quran memorization competitions for boys and girls

The Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya Association announced the launch of two Quranic competitions for boys and girls: the “Wael Al-Sadah Competition for Memorizing the Holy Quran” and the “Late Mutlaq Al-Qarawi Competition for Memorizing the Holy Quran,” as part of its ongoing efforts to encourage various age groups to engage with the Book of God through memorization and contemplation.

In a press statement on this occasion, Dr. Mohammed Al-Amran, Director General of Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya Association, emphasized that launching these two competitions extends the noble mission the Association carries in serving the Book of God and disseminating its sciences, and serves as a tribute and expression of gratitude for the efforts and contributions of these figures in charitable work. He noted that the competitions were designed to accommodate different educational stages and age groups, starting from youth up to adults.

Dr. Al-Amran stated, “Through the Wael Al-Sadah and Late Mutlaq Al-Qarawi competitions, we aim to instill a love for the Holy Quran in the hearts of our sons and daughters, and motivate them to invest their time in what benefits them in their faith and worldly lives. We have taken care to diversify and structure the memorization requirements to suit all levels, from youth to adults.”

He added, “Serving the Holy Quran and caring for its memorizers is the highest goal we share with the people of goodness and benefactors in the benevolent Kuwait. We call on parents to encourage their sons and daughters to take the initiative to register and participate in these blessed Quranic initiatives.”

The Wael Al-Sadah competition targets all educational stages, from the first grade of primary school through the twelfth grade, for both boys and girls. The Quranic memorization requirements are structured according to school grades, ranging from short surahs to more advanced ones. The competition will kick off on August 20 next year.

Meanwhile, the Association has designated the Late Mutlaq Al-Qarawi competition for three main categories: youth, young adults, and adults. It includes memorizing selected verses and surahs, such as the concluding verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, selected verses from Surahs Aal-Imran, Al-Mulk, Ar-Rahman, Yasin, and Al-Qiyamah. Its activities will begin on August 15 next year.

Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya has allocated valuable cash prizes for the top three winners of each gender in the participating categories. The first-place winner receives a prize of 100 Kuwaiti dinars, the second-place winner receives 70 dinars, and the third-place winner receives 50 dinars. In case of a tie in scores, a lottery will be conducted among the tied winners.

The Association has invited interested participants to reserve their spots by registering through its official website (almanabr.org) or via the QR code available in the official advertisements for the two competitions.
