Reopening of the Abdali crossing at the earliest possible time

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, directed the relevant authorities to swiftly assess the damage and take the necessary measures to reopen the “Abdali” border crossing as soon as possible, ensuring a return to normal operations and serving the interests of the two fraternal countries, Kuwait and Iraq.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef inspected the Abdali border crossing yesterday, where he conducted an on-site assessment of the extent of the damage inflicted on the crossing as a result of the reprehensible Iranian aggression.

Al-Yousef also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest with Asaad Al-Eidani, Governor of Basra in the fraternal Republic of Iraq, with the top priority being the latest developments in the security situation in the region. This took place during his meeting with the Governor of Basra, attended by several security and military leaders from the Ministries of Defense and Interior. During the meeting, the parties reviewed areas of cooperation between the two sides and discussed ways to enhance security coordination to support border security and serve shared interests, within the framework of the fraternal relations uniting the State of Kuwait and the fraternal Republic of Iraq.
