Malaysia: We will deport any Israeli we catch on our soil

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that his country would deport any Israeli citizen found within its borders, citing Malaysia’s non-recognition of Israel. According to the local newspaper The Malay Mail on Wednesday, Anwar clarified that all security agencies are conducting a thorough investigation into allegations that Israeli citizens have been present in Malaysia. He added, “We are conducting an investigation, and we will not allow this,” noting that “if Israeli citizens are found in the country, they will be deported immediately, as we do not recognize Israel.” Anwar’s remarks came after media reports emerged alleging that Israeli citizens had been spotted in Johor state, using documents proving they held dual citizenship.
