Asian Handball Federation Awards Al-Kuwait Club Organization of the Clubs Championship for the Next Three Seasons

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) announced on Wednesday that Al-Kuwait Club has been awarded the right to host the Asian Club League Champions Championship, which also serves as the qualifier for the World Club Championship (Super Globe), for the next three seasons: 2027, 2028, and 2029.

In a press release following a meeting of its Executive Board held at the federation’s headquarters in Kuwait, the AHF stated that it had entrusted the hosting duties to Al-Kuwait Club, a move reflecting strong confidence in the club and its capabilities following its remarkable success in hosting the previous edition of the tournament.

Speaking to the media after chairing the meeting, AHF President Badr Al-Diyab said that the outstanding organization and remarkable success achieved by Al-Kuwait Club in the last edition were the main drivers behind awarding them the hosting rights for the next three editions.

Al-Diyab explained that this decision recognizes the exceptional organizational efforts demonstrated by Al-Kuwait Club and aims to ensure further successes, thereby contributing to the continued development of the championship and enhancing its status as the premier club competition in Asia, presenting it in a manner befitting its continental and international standing.

He praised Al-Kuwait Club’s efforts, wishing them success in hosting the upcoming editions, as well as all participating Asian clubs. He reaffirmed that the AHF remains committed to providing the best organizational and technical conditions to ensure the success of its tournaments and activities, and to strengthening the presence of Asian handball on the international stage.
