Information disclosed to “Al-Siyasa” revealed that Q8 Petroleum, through its specialized aviation fuel subsidiary Q8 Aviation, has achieved an exceptional operational leap, with its average sales rate exceeding one million liters of fuel per hour.

According to informed sources speaking to “Al-Siyasa,” this achievement caps a journey spanning more than four decades, during which the company has proven itself to be the most reliable partner for leading airlines and the global general aviation sector. This success is built on a clear strategy aimed at providing aircraft fuel to the highest safety and efficiency standards at competitive prices, ensuring sustainable supply to its customers. Notably, Q8 Aviation is today classified as one of the largest importers of aviation fuel in Europe, supplying both conventional fuel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to approximately 200 of the world’s largest airlines.

Sources stated that Q8 Petroleum’s daily aviation operations cover more than 75 international and regional airports across 16 countries, meeting the needs of over 2,000 aircraft daily, including commercial planes, cargo aircraft, military operators, and private jet operators. They emphasized that this international success for Q8 Petroleum cannot be separated from the fundamental role and unlimited support provided by its parent company, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). KPC operates with innovative and advanced thinking, providing the sovereign, financial, and logistical pillars that ensure its subsidiaries have the flexibility to operate in competitive global markets. Furthermore, vertical integration between local refining operations and external distribution channels ensures KPC a continuous and reliable flow of high-quality petroleum derivatives, granting Q8 Petroleum a strategic advantage over its peers. This structural support and continuous alignment with Kuwait’s oil vision enable the fulfillment of all operational requirements and lead the transition toward clean energy by enhancing SAF supplies, allowing airlines to achieve their environmental goals without compromising operational efficiency or reliability.

The same sources viewed this achievement from a geopolitical, economic, and strategic perspective, highlighting Kuwait’s role in supplying the world with energy. Kuwait not only exports crude oil but also, through its investment arms, shapes an integrated system for global energy security that benefits consumer countries during both crises and periods of growth.

They added that KPC places special importance on the aviation sector, considering it one of the vital arteries of the global economy. Pumping one million liters of aircraft fuel every hour through Q8 Petroleum reflects Kuwait’s weight as a cornerstone of international economic stability. Moreover, this influence extends to technical and quality aspects, as Kuwaiti expertise contributes to shaping global standards for the management and safety of aviation fuel, particularly through its founding membership in the Joint Inspection Group (JIG), the most prominent international body setting quality and management standards for aviation fuel.

The sources noted that Q8 Petroleum’s role in providing technical consulting services, quality management, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) consulting to airport authorities is transforming Kuwait from merely a supplier of natural resources into a technological and standards partner leading the air transport sector toward a safer and more sustainable future.
