18 Companies Accepted in Three Tenders for High-Pressure Line Installation
Dr. Adel Al-Zamil, Deputy Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, issued Administrative Decision No. 1832 of 2026, raising the job grade of 2,830 employees across various departments of the Ministry, in accordance with six programs covering all staff.
The decision, issued on October 26, stipulated in its first article that the job grades of the employees listed in the attached appendices be raised, following their approval by Ahmed Al-Nama, Acting Deputy Minister of Administrative Affairs. Article two specified that an employee’s job grade would be raised directly to the next immediate level above their current grade.
Meanwhile, the Central Tenders Committee decided in a recent meeting to open bids for three tenders issued by the Ministry for the supply, installation, and maintenance of 11 kV medium-voltage and low-voltage overhead lines, along with related works, in the northern, southern, and central regions. One tender was issued for each region. The bid-opening process resulted in 18 qualified companies competing for the three tenders: seven companies for the southern region tender, five for the northern region tender, and six for the central region tender. The Committee’s Board of Directors decided to refer the documentation for the three tenders to the relevant Ministry for review and to submit the necessary technical recommendation within 30 days of the decision’s date.
These three tenders are part of the Ministry’s efforts to improve the performance of the electricity grid, ensure its stability, guarantee uninterrupted power supply around the clock, and provide the required energy quantities for new consumers.
