The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) held discussions with the Financial Supervision Authority (FSA) on ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination to implement Cabinet Resolution No. (681), which mandates prior consultation with the NCA before concluding contracts, agreements, or projects related to cybersecurity in government entities.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the NCA said its Chairperson, Engineer Abeer Al-Awadi, discussed with FSA Chairperson Nida Al-Suhail and a specialized team of officials from both entities the mechanisms for implementing the resolution.
It added that a specialized team had been formed to facilitate and expedite procedures and to study cybersecurity-related matters with government entities and the FSA, thereby contributing to enhanced institutional cooperation efficiency.
