My Brother and Sister... My Son and Daughter
The text emphasizes the transience of this world and the importance of righteous deeds, honoring parents, and piety.

The death of your peers softens your hearts and awakens them from heedlessness.
It reminds you that this world is a realm of transience, not permanence.
Your life in this world consists of fleeting moments, whereas in the Hereafter lies an eternal life with no death thereafter.
Indeed, this world is a testing ground: you will either attain the Garden of Eternal Bliss or fall into the blazing Fire.
Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says: “Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children.”
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about what most frequently leads people into Paradise, and he replied:
“God-consciousness and good character.”
O Allah, make us among those who take heed and strive to earn Allah’s pleasure.
Dear friend, to attain the pleasure of the Most Merciful:
- Be sincere in your work, free from hypocrisy, and obey Allah’s commands while avoiding His prohibitions.
- Strive to raise your children well, be dutiful to your parents, and treat them kindly. “And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, a good kindness. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], ‘uff,’ and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.”
- Be humble and avoid arrogance; treat people with good character. Let your tongue utter only good... Peace be upon you.
