The General Administration for Combating Narcotics at the Ministry of Interior apprehended five suspects in four separate cases involving the trafficking and use of narcotics and psychoactive substances, as part of ongoing security efforts to combat such activities and apprehend those involved.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the operations resulted in the seizure of 4,000 capsules of the psychoactive substance Lyrica, 4 kilograms of the same substance in powder form, 170 grams of the narcotic methamphetamine, 15 sheets saturated with the narcotic chemical substance, and one gram of the same substance.
It added that the seized items also included 5 grams of narcotic hashish, one gram of narcotic cocaine, and four sensitive scales.
The Ministry confirmed that the suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
