Saudi Civil Defense announced today that the threat has passed for the cities of Riyadh and Najran and for Al-Kharj Governorate, urging the public to continue following instructions, avoid gatherings and photography entirely, and call the emergency number (998) in case of emergencies.
Earlier, Civil Defense had issued an alert through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergency Situations in Riyadh, Najran, and Wadi Al-Dawasir Governorate to warn of the danger.
Through its official account on the social media platform X, Civil Defense called for adherence to safety guidelines and official instructions, maintaining calm, and immediately moving to the nearest safe location inside a building or an interior room away from windows, and staying there until the threat subsides. It advised against leaving homes or buildings, avoiding open areas and glass, and refraining from standing on balconies or rooftops.
It also urged people to call the emergency number (998) if any danger is observed, and to follow instructions issued by relevant authorities through official channels.
