The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Thursday that they carried out 982 precise targeting operations against Houthi militia positions and movements over the past 24 hours, as part of the ongoing “Yemen Dawn” operation, which began on October 5.
Official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, stated in a statement that the operations resulted in neutralizing 324 Houthi militia leaders and fighters, and destroying or damaging 108 vehicles, armored cars, and medium and heavy weapons.
He explained that the strikes were carried out using combat aircraft, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers, targeting military reinforcements, command and control centers, field commanders, sniper positions, fire sources, and militia supply lines.
He noted that the Armed Forces and the Popular Resistance continued to counter Houthi militia advances in Taiz Governorate, thwarting their attempts to regroup, while consolidating field gains with air and artillery support.
He added that Armed Forces units continued their operations on the eastern fronts of the capital Sana’a, as well as in the governorates of Al-Jawf, Marib, and Al-Bayda, alongside the southern and southwestern fronts, targeting militia movements, fortifications, concentrations, and armed vehicles.
Al-Nazili emphasized that military operations continue in parallel with the removal of mines and explosive devices planted by the militias, which pose a threat to civilian lives, stressing the Armed Forces’ commitment to the rules of international humanitarian law and the adoption of necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian objects.
