Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili, held talks today, Thursday, with the president and board members of the Kuwait Association for the Blind, exploring ways to enhance services provided to persons with visual disabilities and to strengthen their empowerment in educational, professional, and social spheres.
In a press statement, Dr. Al-Huwaili emphasized her commitment to supporting the association’s efforts and enabling it to fulfill its humanitarian and social mission, stressing the importance of strengthening partnerships with civil society organizations and addressing the challenges faced by persons with visual disabilities, thereby contributing to their integration into society.
She clarified that supporting and empowering persons with disabilities is a priority, affirming that she would spare no effort in reviewing proposed initiatives and following them up with relevant authorities to achieve practical solutions that contribute to service development and meet the needs of blind individuals.
