The Al-Najah Charity Association announced the launch of the “Saqya Al-Ma’” (Water Supply) project tomorrow, Friday, October 30, with the aim of providing fresh water to approximately 150,000 people, including the poor, needy, displaced persons, and refugees, as part of its humanitarian efforts to improve the living and health conditions of the most vulnerable groups.
Sheikh Talal Fakher, Assistant General Manager of Resources at the association, stated that the project includes drilling wells in Africa and Yemen, distributing water tanks to those affected in the Gaza Strip, and connecting water points to the homes of deserving families in Egypt, thereby helping to meet urgent humanitarian needs and provide sustainable solutions for accessing clean water.
He clarified that the project’s significance extends beyond providing drinking water; it also aims to reduce waterborne diseases, support agriculture and livestock, and alleviate the burdens on families facing difficulties in accessing water. He emphasized that securing safe water sources contributes to enhancing community stability and improving the quality of life.
Fakher called on philanthropists and benefactors in Kuwait to contribute to the project, even with a single dinar, motivated by the great reward associated with providing water. He noted that donations or inquiries can be made by contacting the association at 1800082.
He concluded his statement by expressing gratitude to the Ministries of Social Affairs and Foreign Affairs for their cooperation in supporting charitable work and facilitating the implementation of humanitarian projects.
