Minister of 'Social Affairs' opens first physiotherapy clinic for the elderly in Al-Qurain

Al-Hawila: Plan to open new centers and expand health and rehabilitation services for the elderly across various governorates

Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, Dr. Amthal Al-Hawila, inaugurated today, Wednesday, the first physical therapy clinic under the mobile service unit for the elderly, affiliated with the Elderly Care Department in the Qurain area of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, in collaboration with the Ibrahim Al-Baghl Foundation for the Filial Son.

In a press statement following the inauguration, Al-Hawila emphasized that the launch of the clinic aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to developing the elderly care system and improving their quality of life, while facilitating their access to health and rehabilitation services close to their residential areas.

She praised the role of the Ibrahim Al-Baghl Foundation in supporting community initiatives and strengthening partnerships to serve the elderly, through its donation of the clinic, which marks the first center of its kind established to serve this demographic in the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.

She clarified that the Ministry intends to expand the provision of health and rehabilitation services through a plan that includes opening additional centers in the coming period to serve the elderly across various governorates in the country.

She noted that the services provided include supplying special equipment for the elderly, delivering home care and services via mobile clinics, as well as issuing “Priority” cards and designated parking permits for them, in accordance with approved regulations and based on a medical report confirming disability status.
