The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Toutounji, today, Wednesday, where Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan handed him a note of protest regarding the statement issued by the Iranian Embassy in Kuwait on October 28, 2026, which contained blatant interference in Kuwait’s internal affairs, undermining its sovereignty and the independence of its judiciary, in clear violation of international laws and norms.
Al-Mushaan reiterated Kuwait’s rejection and strong condemnation of any interference in judicial rulings issued by its national courts, emphasizing the necessity for the Iranian side to comply with international law, the UN Charter, particularly the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, as well as the provisions of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
