Al-Awadi: Strengthening Digital Protection and Enhancing Government Readiness to Confront Threats

The Chairperson of the National Cybersecurity Center, Abeer Al-Awadi, affirmed today, Wednesday, the Center’s commitment to unifying national efforts and enhancing cooperation with government entities, in support of building an integrated national cybersecurity framework and contributing to the realization of a secure and resilient Kuwaiti cyberspace.

This statement was made during her address at the briefing conference on the Government Cyber Shield program, as well as the cybersecurity services and initiatives offered by the Center to government entities and the mechanisms for utilizing them, thereby contributing to strengthening digital protection and raising government readiness to deal with cybersecurity threats.

Al-Awadi stated that this conference is part of the Center’s efforts to enhance cooperation with government entities, elevate cybersecurity readiness, and develop national capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, thereby supporting the protection of government assets and information and enhancing the capacity to confront cyber risks and threats.

She added that the Center provides a range of services to government entities, including cybersecurity assessments and testing, a Security Operations Center for incident response, cybersecurity threat intelligence, as well as security consultations and services related to cybersecurity governance and policies.

She emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and integration with government entities and enabling them to leverage available services according to their needs, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of detecting and identifying cybersecurity threats, enhancing incident response, and supporting business continuity.
